Hospital Plumber

Job Description

Red Services, a healthcare consulting, staffing and technical services company is searching for qualified, experienced candidates with hospital experience for Interim Plumber’s positions. Candidates without hospital plumbing experience cannot and will not be considered. These positions are interim jobs per contract.

Candidates must be able to install repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in acute care hospitals and various hospital buildings such as MOBs. This position interacts with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. Resolves plumbing emergencies as well as conscientiously performs routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems using careful documentation skills. Must work in cooperation with other facility team members.

The following experience/skills are ESSENTIAL:

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to complete projects independently without supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills essential
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurement
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturer’s technical manuals

The following are required QUALIFICATIONS:

· Valid California Driver’s license

· Willing to work overtime or alternate shift schedules

· Understand regulatory controls and requirements of NEC, NPFA, AQMD, OSHA and The Joint Commission Standards

Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturer’s technical manuals

· High school diploma or GED certificate
